Does anyone have any of the following books I need for fall semester:
Telling Tales "Ghost World" by Daniel Clowes (ISBN 9781560974277)
"The Sweet Hereafter" by Russell Banks (ISBN 9780060923242)
I
Bio Lab "Life on Earth" by Gerald Audeskirk (ISBN 9780131699182)

English Comp II "Classical Techniques, Contemporary Arguments" by Elizabeth Stolarek (ISBN 9780321227188)

Name your price, and if it's less than the campus bookstore, I'd like to buy it. =3~ |

| [ | mood |
| | aggravated | ] | It's not the end of the world when someone hates you, especially one who was previously though to be cool with you. So stop trying to make everyone else hate you too! There are plenty of battles to fight, and this is not worth the time and energy to pursue.
Take a break for a few days. Do some other stuff. Get back to the carefree chiller you normally are. Then try to go on like nothing had happened.
Oh God, I'm so sure this'll start some needless drama. Like we don't have enough already. |

| Long Blog Posts. |
[Jul. 7th, 2008|03:20 pm] |
Maybe I'm a selfish person. Who knows.
Let me play something out for you. A little "skit" if you will.
As the scene opens, you see me, Josh, at the computer. Clicky clicky click. I'm interwebbing and whatnot. To be more specific, I'm browsing the ghetto that is teh MySpace dot coms.
Zoom in on the screen.
"Ooh! New blog posts from my friends!"
*click click*
As the page loads, you see that it's a VERY long, blocky post.
*clicks reply without reading*
"OMG I know right?"
*opens next new blog post*
And, yes. It's another insanely long blog.
*clicks reply without reading*
"Yeah. Totally."
And...Scene.
The moral of this skit is as follows:
If you write a huge long blog post, I WILL NOT read it. I may reply, but please keep in mind that I'm totally talking out of my butt. Typing out of my butt. Whatever. It doesn't matter how profound, deep, or meaningful it may be. I won't do it.
I love all my friends dearly, but whatever. I am what I am.
Man...this post is like...super long. |

"This is a story about an ordinary teddy bear. When he was made, they found something wrong with him and threw him away, like a piece of rubbish, into an old dark store room. Then, from outer space, a spotty man brought him to life with his cosmic dust. He took him to a magic cloud where Mother Nature gave him special powers. That bear became... SuperTed!"
...
I watched a lot of TV shows with weird premises when I was little, and I've read a lot of books too. But the matter of fact way that one is stated in the opening makes me laugh every time. Why shouldn't a spotty man from outer space bring him to life with cosmic dust? |

..Update time! *dance*
...So anyway...
We didn't end up getting her as our roommate. We actually got a different girl who is completely awesome.
So yeah. I'm feeling fantastic right now. Just finished my animation assignment and carried a 25 pound bag of clay back from the art store.
A couple of days ago Angela, Neko (my roommates) and I went to Japantown. They got matching hats (http://gkworld.zoovy.com/product/GKW14689/Di_Gi_Charat_Dejikos_Fleece_Cap.html like that, but with ear flaps.)
I'm totally getting one too next time we go. XD
Yeah..We also saw Wall-E (twice), which I thought was cute. Didn't do much else aside from shopping and watchin TV together lol. |

I have my college lappy now. A Toshiba Satellite somethingorother, 3 gig RAM (more than Sephy!), AMD processor... I named him Otacon.
Appropriately, I downloaded the wallpaper from the MGS4 teaser site with the aforementioned character.
Now, if you'll excuse me, I must reboot and let avast! do its scan. |

| I need a Futurama icon |
[Jul. 5th, 2008|06:11 pm] |
Last night I decided to try writing some Futurama characters. But I also wanted to go on about about the fan timeline I made up for it. So I did both, but got stuck before I could go into much detail. I'm really sick of this writer's block.
I guess I'll put up what I wrote. It's just practice, which is why I'm not trying to fix the problems I can see with it. And it's a bit OOC as well because I'm still getting a feel for the characters.
( I think that's enough to show that this isn't a polished final draft )
I wanted to add stuff about the power struggles between the historical re-enacters and the gritty survivalists, but like I said, I got stuck. But trust me, it was hilarious.
I'm tired. |

| Things that make me go "yay!" |
[Jul. 5th, 2008|12:13 am] |
Just like last year, went to my uncle's house for his annual Fourth of July block party. There was much food, and I also finished up reading the Serenity novelization.
Also, we're planning on going somewhere in January when those of us enrolled in college classes, whether online or university, are on break. The idea my father proposed today for the aforementioned trip is... *fanfare* a Disney cruise! I was, of course, very enthusiastic. ^_^ (What with having seen the Travel Channel special on the cruise line four times, and having been very impressed with what I saw.)
Also-also, tomorrow (today?) erm... Saturday at some point, we're going shopping for my college laptop! |

I plan on replaying the entire series in order on the plane. -Draw stuff, including Rya von Karma, the Typo Prospector (GIDDAMN GOLD), Franzburgh, and a bunch of random AA doodles.
...Can you tell that I really like AA? -Write in my other blog. It needs lovin' too.
In other news, nothing exciting happened today and I smell like strawberries. |

| More stuff |
[Jul. 4th, 2008|05:51 pm] |
Work's been relatively slow this week, but this morning at 9:30 I suddenly had a TON of people. Way too many for my available supplies. So I had a few of my co-workers pan up sausage and bacon while I slaved away at the eggs and tried to get everything cookin'. Longest order was maybe 15 minutes from start to finish.
Note to self: On Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays, make at least two more pans of bacon and sausage in the morning than usual. At least today I made time-and-a-half.
Geocaching yesterday was fun, but I got maybe 6 bug bites. And I grossed out Tom and Nick by attempting to close a cache with my teeth. Also letting the occasional "That's what SHE said!" joke slip out. I really need to hold my tongue as well as to think about Philippians 4:8 more. It's amazing that Tom puts up with my crap. That's exactly why he's one of the best friends I've ever had--he has the grace to still be friends with me in spite of the stupid things I do.
Didn't do much to celebrate the Fourth...I watched "Napoleon Dynamite" (my favorite movie EVER!) this afternoon, and I think I'll stay up to watch the national fireworks on TV or something. Then maybe I'll get some decent sleep.
Before I forget: skyclearblue ! I'll pay you for the commissions next week. |

The one nice thing about this whole songwriting thing is that, even for my first attempt, no matter how awful I am at it... there will always be worse songs out there.
One notable example involving a cake in the rain. |
